FAQs

Do I need a Design?

We have ready made designs all set up and ready to print. These designs contain basic government guidance. The sneeze guards can be supplied in green, blue, red, yellow or black as standard.

Can I have a Bespoke Design?

The sneeze guards can be UV printed to any design that is required. A template can be downloaded here. Please check the artwork guidelines below. Please note, any bespoke design may increase the turnaround time and artwork fees may apply. If you wanted to purchase one unprinted to customise yourself, that option is also available.

Can I replace the clear plastic window?

Sometimes accidents happen and the clear window may become damaged. Due to the essential service the sneeze guard provides, we recommend replacing the window if it becomes pierced to ensure the safety of customers and employees. Replacement windows can be purchased and are easy to fit to the sneeze guard. A pack of 3 plastic windows is £5 + VAT

Is it more expensive to print multiple colours?

No, we digitally print all of our products in full colour using UV resistant inks as standard. So you won't see any increases in price if you have a lot of colour in your artwork.

How do I submit my artwork files?

Simply attach your artwork via our upload option when placing your order, our uploader will accept Jpeg, Tiff, PNG, PDF and ZIP files up to 50mb. It is recommended to ensure artwork files are optimised to retain a reasonable file size.

You can also simply use our email address (at the top of the website) and attach your files. If you have any problems with sending large files give us a call or use file sharing services like WeTransfer.com. If you are using WeTransfer or similar, we highly recommend sending an email alongside this, as we do not pick up orders from WeTransfer emails.

What are requirements for artwork files?

Preferable file format is PDF or high-quality JPG. If you are supplying artwork ready to print, please make sure the design files meet all general standard printing requirements like:

  • Files must be to scale (100% size) or at least in proportion (half size, quarter size etc.)
  • CMYK colour mode (no RGB or Pantone colours as it can cause problems)
  • All text must be converted to curves/outlined or at least embedded inside supplied pdf
  • There is no need for extra bleeds and crop marks for simple rectangular signs
  • Please include cut path for cut out boards indicating expected board shape OR simply describe where it should be, and we will draw the shape for you in most cases free of charge.

In case you require and design work or are uncertain about the files you have please just attach your files with description in your message. We will help and advice. If there would be any extra charge involved, we will let you know before proceeding with any changes.

Am I able to collect from you directly rather than arrange delivery?

We are located in a town called Whitefield just outside of Manchester City Center, if you happen to be local, or are just passing by, you're more than welcome to collect your order from us directly. If this would be preferred just let us know when sending over your order.

Details

Our correx® sneeze guards (also known as countertop barriers and cough shields) are available with full colour print as standard. We offer coronavirus ready artwork in green, blue, red, yellow or black to make it easy to order essential safety signage. The countertop barrier is constructed from 5mm corrugated plastic as standard (4mm is available upon request), with a replaceable, transparent, easy to wipe plastic to create the window. Please note, the sneeze guards are available in single sided print only, this includes the feet.

Stop the Spread

Current data shows that one of the primary transmissions of COVID-19 (coronavirus) is through respiratory droplets of infected people. Sneeze guards, therefore, provide a suitable and effective defence against the spread of the virus by blocking a direct path the contagions could travel. Other names for sneeze guards are countertop barriers or cough shields.

Easy to Clean

Another form of transmission is through direct contact with contaminated objects and surfaces. With the sneeze guard catching any contagious airborne particles, it will need to be sanitised regularly to avoid spreading COVID-19 via direct contact. Our UV printed correx® is an ideal material for maintain strict hygiene standards as they can be wiped with most alcohol-based cleaning solutions without affecting any print on the sneeze guard.

Easy to Use

The countertop barrier is supplied as 3 separate pieces, two legs and the shield. The shield itself is constructed from a 5mm correx® shell, with a clear plastic inset window. When assembled, the sneeze guard will stand approximately 860mm high and 590mm wide, with a 200mm clearance at the bottom to allow access for a card machine.

Replaceable Clear Window

If the clear plastic window becomes damaged in any way, we recommend to immediately replace it in order to maintain the safety of both your employees and customers. Any piercings on holes will dramatically reduce the effectiveness of the cough shield. Replacements can be purchased in bundles and are easy to fit the sneeze guard.
